Exar CFO Resigns, Replacement Named

Chip maker said Tuesday its chief financial officer and senior vice president, J. Scott Kamsler, has resigned; he will be succeeded by Kevin S. Bauer.

FREMONT, Calif. (AP) -- Chip maker Exar Corp. said Tuesday its chief financial officer and senior vice president, J. Scott Kamsler, has resigned.

He will be succeeded by Kevin S. Bauer, who currently serves as Exar's vice president of finance and corporate controller.

The changes are effective immediately, the company said.

Exar's shares closed unchanged at $7.16.
