AKRON, Ohio (AP) -- Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. said Friday W. Mark Schmitz, who served as chief financial officer for the past 14 months, has left the company to pursue other interests.
The company appointed former senior vice president of finance and strategy Darren R. Wells as Schmitz's replacement, effective immediately.
Wells, 42, previously worked for 10 years at Ford Motor Company, including assignments in Australia for Ford Credit and Ford Investment Enterprises. He returned to the United States in 2000 as assistant treasurer of Visteon Corp. and joined Goodyear six years ago as vice president and treasurer.
