BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) -- iRobot Corp., the maker of the Roomba robotic vacuum cleaner, said Tuesday it has entered a manufacturing services agreement with electronic parts maker Jabil Circuit Inc.
Jabil will make, test and supply iRobot's consumer products, including the Roomba.
IRobot said the deal would help diversify its supply chain, give it the ability to serve new markets and expand its capacity. Jabil has manufacturing operations worldwide.
IRobot shares were down 17 cents, or 1.1 percent, at $14.93 around midday Tuesday, while Jabil shares were up 6 cents at $16.73.
