SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn. (AP) -- Manufacturing systems maker Gerber Scientific Inc. on Monday said it named Michael R. Elia as its chief financial officer, effective April 15.
Elia most recently served as chief financial officer of The Frank Gates Companies Inc., a specialty service provider for the insured and alternative-risk market, Gerber said.
Gerber shares rose 43 cents, or 5.1 percent, to close at $8.85.
