Campbell Soup CEO New Conference Board Chairman

Douglas R. Conant will succeed Samuel A. DiPiazza, Jr., as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

NEW YORK — Douglas R. Conant, President and CEO of Campbell Soup Co., has been elected the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Conference Board. He is replacing Samuel A. DiPiazza, Jr., CEO of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
 
Conant joined Campbell with 25 years of extensive food industry experience from General Mills, Inc., Kraft Foods, and Nabisco. He earned his bachelor of arts degree from Northwestern University and his master’s degree in business administration from the J.L. Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern.
 
Conant is a Director of Applebee’s International, Inc., Chairman of the Board of Directors of Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE), a Trustee of the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, and Board member of the Grocery Manufacturers Association/Food Processors of America (GMA/FPA).
