ALPHARETTA, Ga. (AP) -- Paper maker Schweitzer-Mauduit International Inc. said Monday Chief Financial Officer Peter J. Thompson will become the new vice president of strategic planning.
The company said the change was being made at Thompson's request.
Thompson has been CFO since August 2006.
Torben Wetche, 51, will take over as CFO, the company said. He previously served as CFO at Performance Fibers, which makes fibers and fabrics used to manufacture tires.
The changes are effective Monday.
Schweitzer-Mauduit shares fell 42 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $19.39 in morning trading.
