BENTON HARBOR, Mich. (AP) -- Appliance maker Whirlpool Corp. has hired a former automotive executive to lead its global product business.
The Benton Harbor-based company said Monday David Szczupak will serve as an executive vice president of the newly named Global Product Organization. He had been chief operating officer of Dura Automotive Systems and held several senior leadership posts at Ford Motor Co.
He succeeds Mike Thieneman, who recently retired.
