WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) -- Paint thickener and paper chemicals maker Hercules Inc. said Tuesday it has acquired Brazilian specialty chemicals company Logos Química Ltd. for an undisclosed sum.
Other terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Logos Química has about 100 employees and posted $17 million in sales last year. Hercules has about 4,660 employees and had 2007 sales of $2.14 billion.
Shares of Hercules fell $1.13, or 4 percent, to $26.89 after the opening bell.
