Natuzzi Chief Exec Resigns

Ernesto Greco will resign, effective Sept. 30, after one year on the job; Chairman Pasquale Natuzzi will be his replacement.

NEW YORK (AP) - Italian leather-upholstered furniture maker Natuzzi SpA said Friday Chief Executive Ernesto Greco will resign, effective Sept. 30, after one year on the job for personal and professional reasons.

Chairman Pasquale Natuzzi, who was chief executive before Greco, will be nominated as the next chief executive at the company's next board meeting in September.

Greco will continue to serve as a director.

Last month, Natuzzi said it would temporarily cut back on the hours worked at its Italian plants due to challenging market conditions and adverse currency trends.
