Nalco Announces Organizational Changes

William Roe leaving to pursue personal interests; worked with chairman and CEO on restructuring.

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – William Roe, the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Nalco Holding Co., announced Wednesday that he is retiring from the Company to pursue personal interests.

Roe has been COO since 2001, and began his career as an Assistant Research Chemist in 1978.

Roe worked closely with Chairman and CEO, Dr. William H. Joyce, to develop a new organizational structure for Nalco.

The following individuals are taking on additional responsibility and will report directly to Dr. Joyce:
  • David Johnson promoted to Group Vice President and President, European Operations, from Vice President, Energy Services Downstream
  • Steve Taylor promoted to Group Vice President and President, Energy Services Division, from Vice President, Energy Services Upstream
  • Mary Kay Kaufmann promoted to Group Vice President and President, Industrial and Institutional Services (I&IS) Middle Market, from Vice President, I&IS
  • Lou Loosbrock named Group Vice President and President, I&IS Heavy Industry, from Group Vice President and President, Pacific Division
  • Rich Bendure promoted to Group Vice President and President, Pacific Division, from General Manager, North Asia
  • Mark Stoll promoted to Group Vice President and President, Pacific Support Operations, from Vice President, I&IS
  • Mani Ramesh promoted to Corporate Vice President, Research and Development
  • Scott Mason is now Group Vice President and President, Alternate Channels and Global Supply Chain, with added responsibility for Nalco's manufacturing and procurement organizations.

Nalco is a supplier of integrated water treatment and process improvement services, chemicals and equipment programs for industrial and institutional applications.
