Faro Technologies Names Freeland New CEO

Faro Technologies said Jay W. Freeland has been named President and Chief Executive Officer. Freeland had previously served as President and co-CEO since January 2006. Prior to that, he had been COO since November 2004.

Simon Raab, who was serving as Chairman and co-CEO since January 2006, will stay on the Board of Directors as non-executive Chairman.

Faro designs, develops and markets portable, computerized measurement devices and software used to create digital models for uses in part and assembly inspection, factory planning and asset documentation, as well as specialized applications like surveying, recreating accident sites and crimes scenes and digitially preserving historical sites.
