Air Liquide Bumping Up Prices On Industrial, Medical Gas Products

Says increase will be up to 10 percent for some products, 15 percent on facility fees.

Air Liquide Industrial U.S. said Friday it will increase prices for its U.S. industrial and medical gas products, effective September 1 or according to the terms of customer contracts.

The price increases will be up to 10 percent for liquid oxygen, liquid nitrogen, helium, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, dry ice and liquid argon, the company said. Facility fees will increase 15 percent, and existing discounts may also be reduced or eliminated for all products.

"This price adjustment is necessary to, among other things, allow us to invest in additional production and supply facilities to meet customer demand and to hire and retain qualified drivers who can uphold our high standards of safety," said Etienne Lepoutre, president, Air Liquide Industrial U.S. LP.

Air Liquide provides bulk industrial gases and related services to a diverse base of customers in the U.S., including those in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, metals and automotive industries.
