New Breed Awarded Contract by Boeing IDS, Earns Gold Performance Excellence Award

New Breed has received another contract from Boeing to operate a distribution and supply support program. HIGH POINT, N.C., April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- New Breed Logistics, Inc., has announced that they have received a contract from Boeing Integrated Defense Systems to operate a distribution and supply support program at Boeing's Global Services & Support site in San Antonio, Texas.

New Breed Logistics, Inc., has announced that they have received a contract from Boeing Integrated Defense Systems to operate a distribution and supply support program at Boeing's Global Services & Support site in San Antonio, Texas. The center is a maintenance, modification and upgrade facility for in-service Department of Defense tanker and transport aircraft including the KC-135 Stratotanker, the KC-10 Extender, C-17 Globemaster III, and C-130 Hercules.

New Breed, which was awarded the five-year contract through open competition, has begun phasing in its service and parts-support at the 99,000-square-feet operations. This agreement represents a continuation, as well as an expansion, of the relationship between New Breed and The Boeing Company.

New Breed currently supports several of Boeing's civilian and defense aviation programs, including the 787 Dreamliner; the Boeing Commercial Airplanes spare parts program for eastern North America, and South and Central Americas; the F/A-18 Integrated Readiness Support Teaming, or FIRST, program; and, spares programs for the H-46 rotorcraft, the Harrier Integrated Supply Support (HISS) program, Japan and Italy KC-767 tankers, Korean F-15s, the C-17 and the F-22. Additionally, the company provides parts kitting and line-side delivery services for new-build military rotorcraft programs at Boeing's Philadelphia manufacturing site that include the Chinook and V-22 Osprey.

New Breed was the 2006 Boeing Supplier of the Year in the Aerospace Support category and has received the Gold level Boeing Performance Excellence Award (BPEA) in both 2007 and 2008. The Boeing Company issues the BPEA annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. New Breed maintained a Gold composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from Oct. 1, 2007, to Sept. 30, 2008. In 2008, Boeing recognized 411 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award. New Breed is one of only 86 suppliers to receive the Gold level of recognition.
