U.S. Economy: Factory Orders Boosted by Aircraft

According to a Bloomberg News report, the Commerce Department said U.S. factory orders increased in November aided by surging aircraft bookings.

A 2.5 percent jump in orders placed with manufacturers offset the biggest decline in business equipment demand since July and followed a 1.7 percent October rise.

Excluding transportation equipment such as planes, bookings were unchanged for a second month.
