On Thursday, presumptive republican presidential nominee Donald Trump gave his first speech detailing his energy policies if president. He pledged to undo some of America’s ambitious environmental policies. He said these actions would revive the U.S. and coal industries and boost national security. Some of his proposals included taking the U.S. out of the U.N. global climate accord, approving the Keystone XL oil pipeline from Canada, and removing measures by President Obama to cut U.S. emissions and protect waterways. He received much applause from the crowd of oil executives.
