Getting a $560k Limited Edition Motorcycle to Fly

The La Moto Volatante transitions from an electric motorcycle to a flying bike with the flip of a switch.

French inventor and designer Ludovic Lazareth recently unveiled the LVM 496 flying motorcycle. The La Moto Volatante, which translates to Flying Motorcycle in English, transitions from an electric motorcycle to a flying bike with the flip of a switch.

Fully charged, the bike can last up to 62 miles, while a kerosene tank carries enough fuel for about a 10-minute flight. Additional features include a lightweight carbon Kevlar composite body and four 1,300-horsepower turbines located at the bike’s four corners that allow it to take flight.

The custom vehicle manufacturer has announced it will make only five of the motorcycles, with each carrying a $560,000 price tag.
