Better And Faster Structural Analysis Software

Collier Research Corporation has released version 6.4.5 of its HyperSizer composite structural analysis and optimization software, which helps it run faster, and provides a reconfigured core technology with built-in “intelligence” that produces more accurate answers with less user input.

Collier Research Corporation (Hampton, Va.) has released version 6.4.5 of its HyperSizer composite structural analysis and optimization software, which helps it run faster, and provides a reconfigured core technology with built-in “intelligence” that produces more accurate answers with less user input. The analysis engine in v6.4.5 speeds up runs by 200 to 400 percent on almost all tests, while certain quick sizing and variable tuning capabilities are up to 1,000 times faster. The new version also supports nonlinear and dynamic load stepping Abaqus and Nastran FEA solutions, and engineers can not include the effects of material choices on tools, labor, facilities and more when studying, for example, between the tradeoffs between carbon fiber and fiberglass in the wind industry. For a variety of industries, HyperSizer can provide stress analysis and sizing optimization, reducing the weight of aircraft, space vehicles, wind turbine blades and other structures, whether designed with composite or metallic materials.
