CHICAGO (AP) -- Boeing disclosed new orders for 27 planes on Thursday, including some for United Airlines and Australian airline Qantas.
The new orders include eight of its workhorse 737s for United Airlines and five for Qantas. Leasing company GECAS also ordered four.
Boeing also said orders for two of those planes were canceled.
It also had 10 new orders for its big 777s from Air Lease Corp.
The 737 has a list price of $82 million to $107 million, although steep discounts are common. New 777s list for $259 million to $315 million. At the low end of list prices, the new order would be worth almost $4 billion.
Shares of Chicago-based Boeing Co. rose $2.51, or 3.2 percent, to $81.59 in midday trading.
