ABB to Build $40M U.S. Cable Products Facility

The factory will create 55 new jobs and make cable products to support grid hardening and resiliency.

Automation company ABB announced it would establish a new manufacturing facility in Albuquerque.

ABB plans to invest $40 million in the 90,000-square-foot location.

The factory will create 55 new jobs and manufacture cable products to support grid hardening and resiliency.

The company projects the facility will create over 1 million units annually.

ABB hopes the project will help meet demand for its Elastimold molded switches and switchgear.

ABB expects the site to be completed in 2024.

It will operate next to ABB’s existing Installation Products factory.
