Alfa Romeo Reveals Plan for Large-Size Car in U.S.

They just don't know where they'll make it.

Italian luxury car manufacturer Alfa Romeo announced it would develop a large-size car for the U.S. market, Reuters reported

Brand Chief Executive Jean-Philippe Imparato said the vehicle would launch in 2027.

However, the automaker did not say where it would manufacture the car.

Imparato added, "Producing in the U.S. is not something we have decided and don't want to decide now."

"Our offer for a large-size vehicle must fit international markets, American, Chinese, European," Imparato said.

Both of Alfa Romeo's production sites are in Italy.

The international premium brand of Stellantis also has not decided if the model will be a sedan, an SUV or a crossover.

Stellantis recently posted its first half 2022 results with about $8 billion net profit.
