Recently, Optimal Engineering Systems, Inc. (VAN NUYS, CA) introduced the YP200-30 Series of Dual-axis Yaw-Pitch Stages, designed for applications requiring precision in angular positioning and motion control.

The YP200-30 Series provides a platform for precise measurement of curves and angles through the integration of high-precision rotary and goniometer stages.

Features & Benefits:

  • Includes a high-precision rotary stage (Yaw-axis) with clockwise and counterclockwise rotation

  • Equipped with a high-precision goniometer stage with ±30 degrees of travel

  • Pitch axis table measures 160 mm x 160 mm with a precision pattern of threaded holes

  • Accessible mounting holes for integration into new and existing applications

  • Yaw axis includes a HOME switch; pitch axis includes two end-of-travel limit switches

  • Available in several configurations:

    • YP200-30-01: Two-phase stepper motors with manual adjustment knobs

    • YP200-30-02: Three-phase brushless servo motors with quadrature incremental optical encoders

    • YP200-30-03: DC brushed servo motors with quadrature incremental optical encoders

    • YP200-30-04: Quadrature incremental optical encoders for position verification

  • Servo motor-driven versions offer improved repeatability, positional accuracy, and travel speed

  • Repeatability (with 10 micro-steps-per-step driver): ±0.01 degrees

  • Positional accuracy: 0.05 degrees

  • Resolution: 0.001 degrees (3.6 arcsec)

  • Constructed from black anodized aluminum

  • Load capacity: 25.0 kg

  • Rotation center height: 136 mm

Suitable for precision measurement and positioning applications requiring high accuracy and integration flexibility.
