Hirose (Downers Grove, IL) has introduced a 1 mm pitch version of its USCAR-2 compliant FPC/FFC-to-board connector, designed to simplify the assembly process and reduce the size, weight, and cost of the system.

The TB4 Series provides an alternative to traditional harness processes by allowing direct FPC/FFC-to-board connections.

Features & Benefits:

  • Two-piece connector structure with simplified assembly.
  • Eliminates the need for soldering, crimping, and pin-by-pin contact insertion.
  • Reduces overall weight by minimizing wire count.
  • Compact design supports reduced space requirements.
  • Two-point contact ensures high contact reliability and dust protection.
  • Electric shock prevention and mis-insertion protection.
  • Supports two key code types (black and gray) for secure connections.
  • Operates in high-vibration environments and temperatures up to 125°C.
  • Low-profile design with a 4.5 mm mating height and 12.5 mm width.
  • Available in a single-row, 30-position version.

The connector meets USCAR-2 requirements and is suitable for automotive battery systems, construction equipment, and agricultural machinery.
