Smithfield Foods and QVC are the latest companies to cut ties with celebrity chef and television personality Paula Deen after a deposition in a discrimination lawsuit revealed concerns about the star's use of racist language. In a statement about the decision to drop Deen, QVC said,
"QVC shares the concerns being raised around the unfortunate Paula Deen situation. We are closely monitoring these events and the ongoing litigation. We are reviewing our business relationship with Ms. Deen, and in the meantime, we have no immediate plans to have her appear on QVC."
