A company that manufactures quartz surfaces is planning to expand a plant near Savannah.
Gov. Nathan Deal announced Tuesday that Caesarstone is planning to expand its plant in Richmond Hill and create 130 jobs.
Deal said in a statement that the company is expanding its U.S. manufacturing operations in response to an increase in sales in the U.S. and Canada. The governor says Caesarstone plans to continue using the Port of Savannah and is planning to use existing rail networks to import raw materials for their products.
