Packaging manufacturer Carded Graphics is planning to expand its Staunton, Va. operations, creating 34 jobs.
Gov. Bob McDonnell said Wednesday that the company is expected to invest more than $7 million for the expansion. The facility makes folding cartons and packaging for food, pharmaceutical and beverage manufacturers.
Carded Graphics has been based in Virginia since 1978. It merged with North Carolina-based Pell Paper in 2006.
The company's corporate offices and production facility are located in a 120,000-square-foot plant in Staunton. It has sales offices in Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Maryland, and Florida.
McDonnell approved a $100,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund for the project.
