John Figueroa, President of McKesson U.S. Pharmaceutical, will be honored on Oct. 19 as Supply Chain Executive of the Decade at the annual Global Supply Chain Leaders Group Dinner at Hotel Sofitel in Redwood City.
Figueroa oversees his business unit's operations and distributions of pharmaceuticals and other healthcare related products to customers in four primary segments: national and regional retail pharmacy chains; hospital providers; retail independent pharmacies; and mail pharmacy. He is responsible for McKesson's share of an $86 billion industry.
"John is a visionary when it comes to supply chain best practices, particularly with his approach to logistics strategies, safety, and cost savings," said Sergio Retamal, President and CEO of Global4PL Supply Chain Services in Santa Clara, the lead sponsor of the Oct. 19 dinner. "He is a model for supply chain managers around the world."
Oracle Senior V.P. for Worldwide Operations Cindy Reese will serve as keynote speaker. She has been responsible for supply chain, manufacturing, and logistics programs at Oracle, Sun Microsystems, Convergent Technologies, and SGI for over 25 years.
