Cargill plans to spend $50 million to renovate and expand its oilseed processing plant in West Fargo.

WEST FARGO, N.D. (AP) -- Cargill plans to spend $50 million to renovate and expand its oilseed processing plant in West Fargo.

Reconstruction of the 30-year-old facility that employs 83 full-time workers is to start late this fall and wrap up in time for the 2013 harvest.

Mayor Rich Mattern says the project shows Cargill's long-term commitment to the city.
