Oshkosh Gets $904M Army Order

Oshkosh Corp. said its defense unit received an order for nearly 7,000 more extra medium tactical vehicle trucks and trailers.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- Oshkosh Corp. said Monday its defense unit has received an order for nearly 7,000 more extra medium tactical vehicle trucks and trailers to the U.S. Army.

The add-on order is valued at more than $904 million. Deliveries are expected to be completed by June 2013.

Oshkosh has now received orders for nearly 26,000 of these trucks and trailers from the Army.

The line, made up of 17 models, supports Army and National Guard units at home and abroad in combat operations, relief efforts, unit-resupply missions and other functions.

Shares fell 37 cents to $24.44 in morning trading.
