NEENAH, Wis. (AP) -- Bemis Co. Inc. said Monday it bought Mayor Packaging, a privately held Chinese maker of consumer packaging, to boost its presence in the Asia-Pacific market.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
Bemis said the deal would not affect 2011 earnings.
Hong Kong-based Mayor has a plant in Dongguan, China, that makes packaging for food and consumer-product companies. Bemis makes packaging for food, consumer-product and health care companies.
Bemis shares fell a penny to close at $31.59.
