EVERETT, Wash. (AP) -- Intermec Inc., which makes bar code scanners and other devices that help track inventory, said Wednesday it has acquired Enterprise Mobile, which provides outsourced mobile device services.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Enterprise Mobile, based in Watertown, Mass., will be part of the Intermec Global Solutions business unit.
Intermec said the acquisition will allow it to serve a wider range of customers' needs as the mobile phone and tablet market becomes more complicated.
Intermec shares fell 13 cents, or 1.3 percent, to $10.05 in morning trading Wednesday.
