NEW YORK (AP) -- Pfizer Inc. said Monday it bought Synbiotics Corp., which makes immunodiagnostic tests for animals.
The New York drugmaker announced the proposed deal on Wednesday and said it closed Thursday. Synbiotics is now part of its animal health business. Synbiotics is based in Kansas City, Mo.
Pfizer stock picked up 17 cents to $17.68 Monday, and rose another penny to $17.69 in aftermarket trading.
