JACKSON CENTER, Ohio (AP) -- Thor Industries Inc., the world's largest maker of recreational vehicles, said Wednesday that its revenue climbed 51 percent in its most recent quarter to $664 million as the industry began a turnaround.
Thor said its preliminary revenue figure for the fiscal year that ended July 31 -- $2.28 billion -- is 50 percent higher than for the previous year.
Thor's RV sales rose 66 percent, and its sales of buses and other commercial vehicles gained 5 percent.
Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters on average expect Thor to report quarterly net income of 58 cents per share on revenue of $617.30 million and full-year net income of $1.87 per share on $2.23 billion in revenue.
Thor shares added 36 cents to $37.89 in late morning trading.
