LONDON (AP) -- Official statistics show that manufacturing output in Britain was 4.1 percent higher in June compared to a year earlier.
The Office for National Statistics said Friday that the output of all production industries -- which also includes mining, oil and gas extraction and utilities -- was up 1.3 percent over last year.
In the three months from April to June, manufacturing output was 3.8 percent higher than a year ago and total production up 1.6 percent.
The agency had previously reported that GDP was up 1.1 percent in the April-June period, the third consecutive quarter of recovery from recession.
