Medtronic Completes ATS Medical Acquisition

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Medtronic Inc., the world's biggest medical device maker, said Thursday its acquisition of heart device maker ATS Medical is complete.

Medtronic agreed to buy ATS in April for $350 million, or $4 per share. The deal also includes $20 million in debt held by ATS Medical.

Shares of Medtronic slipped 29 cents to $35.99 in morning trading.
