Tibet Airlines Makes Commitment For Airbus Jets

The commitment, which is not yet a firm order, is for three of Airbus' A319s, European jet maker Airbus said in a statement Thursday.

PARIS (AP) -- European jet maker Airbus says that the newly established Tibet Airlines has chosen its single-aisle aircraft to launch a planned service flying within mountainous Tibet and across China.

The commitment, which is not yet a firm order, is for three of Airbus' A319s, Airbus said in a statement Thursday.

Tibet Airlines was created in March 2010 and Chinese news reports say it is expected to launch commercial operations in mid-2011.
