Boeing Gets 4 737 Orders

Plane maker said on Thursday that it has added four new orders for its workhorse 737 airliner, and lost an order for its bigger 777.

CHICAGO (AP) -- Boeing Co. said on Thursday that it has added four new orders for its workhorse 737 airliner, and lost an order for its bigger 777.

The weekly update did not identify the customers involved in the changes.

The 737 is Boeing's most popular plane, with 233 net orders so far this year. The four new orders would be worth as much as $348 million at list prices, although discounts are common. The 777 sells for as much as $286.5 million.
