NEW YORK (AP) -- Chinese manufacturer LDK Solar Co. said Thursday it has agreed to supply solar modules to Italy's ABB SpA.
Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
LDK will deliver 13 megawatts of solar modules to ABB in the third quarter. Meanwhile, LDK is negotiating with ABB to supply larger numbers of modules throughout the rest of 2010 and into 2011.
"This sales contract with ABB demonstrates our continued momentum in growing our module business, specifically with European customers," said Xiaofeng Peng, chairman and CEO of LDK Solar, in a statement.
Shares rose 22 cents, or 4 percent, to $5.60 in morning trading.
