MELVILLE, N.Y. (AP) -- Hain Celestial Group Inc. said Wednesday it has bought Churchill Food Products Limited, a manufacturer and distributor in Britain of food-to-go products, marking its second such announcement this week.
Terms were not disclosed for the deal, which is expected to complement Hain's Daily Bread brand. Hain, a natural and organic food maker, said the deal closed Tuesday.
The deal is part of Hain's plan to boost its British business.
Hain said it will conduct a strategic review of Daily Bread and Churchill to find savings.
On Tuesday, the company said it is acquiring World Gourmet Marketing, the maker of Sensible Portions and other food products. Terms of that deal were also not disclosed.
Shares of Hain fell 16 cents to $22.55 in morning trading.
