Circor Buys Mazda Ltd. Valve Unit

Fluid control products company said it acquired the valves division of Indian valve and vacuum system maker Mazda Ltd.

BURLINGTON, Mass. (AP) -- Circor International Inc. said Tuesday it bought the valves division of Indian valve and vacuum system maker Mazda Ltd.

Circor, which makes valves and other fluid control products, did not disclose terms of the deal. It said the valve business had about $3.2 million in revenue over the last year, and said it believes the purchase will start adding to its profits within the next 12 months.

The acquisition was made by the Circor Flow Technologies India Private Ltd. business.

In morning trading, Circor shares fell $1.05, or 3.5 percent, to $28.67.
