CAE Gets Orders From Bombardier, Saudi Airline

Flight simulator maker CAE has sold three full-flight simulators to three different customers for a total of $50 million.

MONTREAL (CP) -- CAE Inc. has sold three full-flight simulators to three different customers for a total of $50 million, the Montreal-based company announced Monday.

One of the flight simulators was bought by Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B).

The flight simulators, used to train pilots and other flight crew, are designed to replicate the cockpit of specific aircraft.

Bombardier has purchased a CAE Bombardier Challenger 605, which will be used at the aircraft manufacturer's training centre in Dallas.

Saudi Arabian Airlines bought an Airbus A330/A340 simulator while the flight training centre operated by Emirates airline and CAE bought a Falcon 900EX/2000EX simulator.
