Oshkosh Gets $189 Million Pentagon Contract

Defense division of Oshkosh Corp. has signed a hefty $189 million contract with the Pentagon to deliver 350 military trucks.

OSHKOSH, Wis. (AP) -- The defense division of Oshkosh Corp. has signed yet another hefty contract with the Pentagon to deliver military vehicles.

The contract that Oshkosh Defense announced Monday calls for more than 350 military trucks to be delivered by March. The contract is worth $189 million.

The deal is an extension of a billion-dollar contract first awarded in June. Monday's announcement means Oshkosh is delivering a total of nearly 4,300 military trucks, and the value of the overall deal now stands at $2.3 billion.

Shares dipped 4 cents to $31.52 in midday trading Monday.

The Oshkosh, Wis.-based company has about 12,000 employees worldwide.
