Goodrich Gets $400M Air Force Contract

Defense contractor said Monday it received a contract worth up to $400 million to retrofit the U.S. Air Force's fleet of C-130 transport aircraft.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) -- Defense contractor Goodrich Corp. said Monday it received a contract worth up to $400 million to retrofit the U.S. Air Force's fleet of C-130 transport aircraft.

Goodrich said it will retrofit the aircraft with new boltless wheels and carbon brakes. The equipment will be provided by Goodrich's Aircraft Wheels and Brakes unit.

Shares of Goodrich fell 72 cents to $54.97 in morning trading Monday. The stock is up 51 percent since the start of the year.
