ROANOKE, Va. (AP) -- Diversified manufacturer ITT Corp. said Wednesday it has received a $43 million Army contract to produce night vision goggles and spare parts.
The helmet-mounted night goggles combine image and infrared technologies to allow for improved mobility, target detection and recognition, ITT said.
The White Plains, N.Y., company's night vision business is based in Roanoke.
Shares of ITT rose 82 cents to $49.56 in afternoon trading.
