Celanese Raises Prices For Acetic Acid In Asia

Chemicals company said it was raising prices on all grades of acetic acid for customers in Asia, effective immediately.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Celanese Corp. said Tuesday it was raising prices on all grades of acetic acid for customers in Asia, effective immediately.

The Dallas-based chemicals company said prices would go up for list and off-list selling prices. The price hike would be immediate or as contracts allow it.

Celanese shares fell 29 cents, or 2.6 percent, to $11.08 in late morning trading Tuesday.
