Gardner Denver Completes CompAir Buyout

Maker of compressors and other machinery completed the acquisition of Britain's CompAir for about $330 million in cash plus about $18 million in assumed debt.

QUINCY, Ill. (AP) -- Gardner Denver Inc. said Monday it completed the acquisition of Britain's CompAir Holdings Ltd. for about $330 million in cash plus about $18 million in assumed debt.

Gardner Denver, which makes compressors and other machinery, said it used available cash and new credit facilities to pay for the transaction.

CompAir Holdings manufactures compressed air and gas products. Gardner Denver said it will include guidance regarding the financial impact of the acquisition in its third-quarter report, due out Wednesday after the market close.

Gardner Denver shares fell 44 cents to $24.55 in midday trading.
