Alliant Acquires Tactical Gear Maker Blackhawk

Aerospace and defense company said it bought Blackhawk Industries Products Group Unlimited, which makes gear for military and law enforcement agencies.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- Aerospace and defense company Alliant Techsystems Inc. said Monday it acquired Blackhawk Industries Products Group Unlimited LLC, which makes gear for military and law enforcement agencies.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Alliant recently bought another tactical gear producer, Eagle Industries.

Blackhawk is based in Norfolk, Va.

Alliant shares fell 71 cents to $79.99 in midday trading.
