Borgwarner Buys Dytech

Auto parts supplier BorgWarner said Friday it bought Dytech ENSA, which makes products to cool exhaust gas and help vehicles meet emission standards.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) -- Auto parts supplier BorgWarner Inc. said Friday it bought Dytech ENSA, which makes products to cool exhaust gas and help vehicles meet emission standards.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Borgwarner said Dytech had sales of about $180 million last year.

Dytech makes exhaust gas recirculation coolers and EGR tubes, which carry exhaust that is recycled to meet emissions standards.

Dytech has about 1,000 employees in Spain, Portugal and India. Customers include Ford, General Motors and Daimler, according to BorgWarner.

BorgWarner shares rose 25 cents to $38.28 in morning trading.
