BERLIN (AP) -- Germany says there is progress toward a deal with contractor EADS on funding for its Airbus A400M military transport plane and that there will be another high-level meeting at the end of this week among the seven nations involved.
Defense Ministry spokesman Steffen Moritz said Monday that deputy defense ministers are to analyze jointly the manufacturer's answer to their offer on how to deal with cost overruns and delays on the euro20 billion ($27 billion) military project.
He would not say what is in that response or specify when and where exactly the meeting will take place.
Government spokeswoman Sabine Heimbach said that deputy defense ministers from the nations that ordered the plane have achieved "progress" but did not elaborate.
