W.Va. Factory May Double Workforce

Royce Hosiery Mills may be hiring 80 full-time workers, doubling the size of its Eastern Panhandle work force.

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. (AP) -- Royce Hosiery Mills may be hiring 80 full-time workers, doubling the size of its Eastern Panhandle work force.

The Berkeley County Development Authority says Royce has landed new contracts with Dickies Brand Clothing Co., a well-known manufacturer of work clothes.

It says Royce has leased an additional 147,000 square feet in the Shockey Commerce Center to accommodate the extra production.

Royce has had a presence in Martinsburg since 1965.
