Northrop Grumman Gets Navigation Contract

Military contractor Doosan DST Co. to supply inertial navigation units for South Korea's new K21 infantry fighting vehicle.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Military contractor Northrop Grumman Corp. said Monday that it received a contract from Korean military systems and vehicle manufacturer Doosan DST Co. to supply inertial navigation units for South Korea's new K21 infantry fighting vehicle.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The LLN-G1 navigation units will be built by the Northrop Grumman's German navigation systems subsidiary.

The units use inertial sensors, an odometer and GPS data to provide accurate three-dimensional position and attitude data for vehicle commanders and crews, Northrop Grumman said.
